Learning how to ski...

Being from Jersey you would have thought I wouldn't need to come all the way to Colorado to learn how to ski, but I did. I really did not know what to expect. I tried snowboarding a few years back and failed miserably. A bruised knee and bottom and I didn't even give it a second thought. Fast forward, I'm getting dressed in my ski gear this morning-thinking what am I doing???

After getting my boots on and taking my first ride in a gondola I became focused listening to my instructor's every word. We worked our way from the learners hill to what felt like the top of the mountain.

I must say running has helped me stay active and the motions just became natural after awhile. I'm far from an expert and I'm not ready to go fast, but it was an exciting day on the side of a mountain. Thanks to Nick for some great video footage.

Stay tuned for what Nick and I will be up on the rest of our winter wonderland trip.

  3. Learning how to ski is also like learning how to ride a bike. You need to be patient and dedicated even if you fall and stumble.
